Raven Navy Issue

I'm thinking about aiming for Raven Navy Issue. 600k LP. It takes me about 90 minutes on average to run one mission. I seem to get about 4000 LP per mining mission. I can run maybe 2 minutes per evening on weekdays, 4 on saturday and sunday. Let's do some mathemagics:

600/4 = 150 mission runs.
150*90 = 225 hours
5*2+2*4 = 18 runs per week
150/18 = 8.3 weeks.

Now, let's add the 50% bonus from mining connections:

600/6 = 100
100*90 = 150 hours
100/18 = 5.5 weeks

Ok, first of all. Yeah, I think I'll max Mining Connections. Second, it is not realistic for me to work diligently for weeks and weeks to actually stay on target. It's a game, not a job. So lets triple -- and -- then some the time. Lets say 16 weeks.

Yeah, four months. And I don't even have any idea what I want to do with the Raven.

So, don't expect anything interesting from me in the following weeks. I'm off farming LP!

Cleanup!

Yesterday, I did some more Mining IV missions. I think I got this down now. It now takes me about 75 minutes to do one standard mining IV mission if it happens to be in the same system. One jump ads about 5-10 minutes.  I also now have all the gear to mine ice and gas too, if required. (Which, it is, according to my googlefu.)

I browsed the LP store out of curiosity. I didn't really have anything in mind which I would like to buy. Waaaaidaminit, what is this? "Mining Connections". I could get 50% more LP from these missions???Count me in! Injected and queued to III, in front of the queue. I wonder if these percentages are cumulative also.

So, as many of you might also have -- I too had all my crap distributed all over the sandbox. Luckily, I have done this cleanup quite regularly in the past, so it wasn't terrible. Everything was in hisec and reachable through carebear space. I analyzed the map and did some poking around with the route jump counts.

Instead of one huge route, I decided to make two runs.

  1. Take my speedboat with Overdrive Injectors and MWD. Run through all the systems, where I have low value, or easily sell-able (sp?) stuff. Zip through the 70+ jump list on autopilot while cooking dinner. Sell/reprocess all the stuff I absolutely do not want, and bring back anything small and valuable that I can fit in my speedboat.
  2. 50+ jump list, where my first stop is at my extra badger. Once I got to the badger, I packaged up my speedboat and put it in the badger. After this, I went through the remaining systems and collected the most valuable items into my badger, selling stuff on the way if I had to. Finally make my way back to my home system and purged all stuff on the floor.

Well, then. As you can imagine, now I have fuck ton of shit on the floor of my home station. I need some station containers. Good thing they only cost WHAAAAAA!!! 10M a piece near here. Ok, fuck it, I guess I can wait a bit. People always want to get rid of their station containers when moving. I set up a buy order for 50k/piece, for 5 pieces, which is 10x better than anything in the system, and set it to 2 jumps. Already got one during the day today.

Fitted a new hauler

It was a quiet night. At 1:30. I had just completed a LVL IV mining mission, which took a bit more time that I thought.
I wanted to check my standing with the agent and accidentally clicked 'request mission'. Well, obviously, I was screwed. If I was in my full mental capacity, I would have just thought "Oh, well. I'll just do this tomorrow." But no! I was in an already half sleep moronic state and thought: "I must finish this mission NOW, lest the agent thinks I'm a pussy or something!"
An so I warped to the mine field, eh, mining field... What do you call these?
Anyway... Shit! The mining node is 50km from the warp-in-point. You know how fucking fast a hulk is? Not fucking fast at all. I did some mathemagics on my trusty windows calculator, and figured it will be stupid-o-clock before I'm done with this.
I made a swift, sleep deprivation induced decision: I need a hauler. I need it fast and I need it here. I was lucky thou! The hull and all the fittings were in this and the next system! Or I already had them. A bit of clickety click, and I was down 22M!
After I had mined the whole rock into cans, I docked, evolved into my egg shape and retrieved the new hauler!
(Here would be a screenshot, lest I was writing this on my phone on the buss, on my way to work -- a bit late and tired.)
New ship:
Badger Mark II
Cargo extender IIs, Cargo rig Is, salvager, tractor beam, 10MN afterburner.
I think she will serve me nicely. I need to get some shield extenders and damage dampeners as an alternative to the after burner. Thou I'm not sure if that makes an iota of difference if I get ambushed at a gate.
Also, the comission was kind enough to promise me half a meg if I accidentally blow it up.
Anyway, like and favourite! Wait, no, this isn't youtube. :)

Taking the Inventory

So, lets see. Client is installed. I got to mine a bit yesterday and this morning. Actually remembered to insure by Hulk before undocking.

Time to check what do I own:

Cash: 30M

Ships:

Badger Mark II
Loaded with warp core stabilizers, afterburner, scanner and shield booster. I guess this is some sort of survivalist hauler for exploration.

Blackbird
ECM, warp scrambler, stasis webifier, energy neutralizer. Missile launchers. I guess this is for harrassing potential rifters. No matter. As my loyal readers may know, I have just one victory in my name and several, like, tens of lost ships.

Caracal
Shield tank. Light missile launchers. Level 1 mission boat maybe...

Condor
Overdrive Injetor System II, 1MN MWD. Apaprently to get from point A to point B really really fast.

Drake
Shield tank. 'Malkuth' Heavy missile launchers. Another mission missile boat I suppose.

Echelon
WTF is this thing? Was this some novelty ship given as gift? Too lazy to look it up now. :)
Not fitted.

Hulk
Ooh! My pride and joy! Extended cargo hold II's, Survey Scanner II, Modulated Strip Miner II's. Even rigged with Medium Cargohold Optimizations.

Osprey
Heh, I wonder...
Warp core stabilizer, Survey scanner, after burner, shield extender. Miner II x 3, Core Probe Launcher. I can't remember how exploration really works. Maybe this is a cheap ship to try and sneak some high value minerals out of worm hole space.

Raven
Hodge-podge of cargo space, shield tank, missile launchers and Gas Cloud Harvesters. I'm sure I had some kind of idea what the hell this is supposed to be. No idea anymore.

Other:

Blueprints
Nothing too exciting. Mining crystal blueprints. Missile blueprints. Apparently mostly stuff I can use myself. No researched blueprints. Just your bog standard stuff.

Minerals
Apart of half a million stash of Mexallon, I don't seem to have any reserves. I wonder what that was. Maybe just an expired sell offer.

Interestingly, I don't seem to have a cleaner/salvager for missions at all. I wonder what happened. I need to build one. I recall the salvaging business was quite lucrative.

Back after a year

So, reading about the great battle on Reddit, enticed me to re-activate my account. I'm not really sure what I would like to do. First I just poked around with EveMON to figure out a new skill plan. Ended up aiming for Core Competency standard, and harvesting Elite. Now then, no more need to worry about the skill queue.

At first I looked at my map. In 0.5 Caldari space. In my Hulk. Guess I'll do some mining then.
